Ask a Question

Is there a reason why many of my sites (customers) need to re-verify the form email address in order for the contact form to stay active and functional? I have had many complaints from my customers that there form on the site stops working and indicates an error message (see attached image capture).

This is very annoying and many of my customers have complained that they must have lost many prospects towards there business because of this issue.

Why do we need to re-verify the email address so often??

Hello John,

The email option is for a registered user with a license. The email is connected to the leads of the administrator's account.
When you change the email to receive emails you need to verify it and do this each time you edit the page with the contact form. Note, only the main account user can edit contact forms and save changes like email addresses. If you have a user under a client license who edits the form and saves it with other major settings this form will give an error on the live page.

If you sell the theme, it shouldn't be hosted under your account, your client should use his/her own license to verify email.

I am actually just building sites form customers. I insert an email and types of forms on there site, I validate the email address and all works fine for a few months, then they start getting error messages when someone tries to use the form on the site. So I always have to go back in Nicepage app, and click on "Verify email address" every few months. That is not normal. I do not giveout and licences ton my customers.

Hello John,

It is crucial to understand if the form just stops the submit without any changes in the backend or after your client saves the form with some changes with the plugin editor under some other account. It is available to save the form with changes under the client license in the plugin editor although it may lead to form submit errors on the live page. Do you always use only your account for Nicepage when you edit someone's pages or install plugin for some client's sites?

Yes, I only have my licence. I do not lend or sell any licences to the client. I create the form in the Nicepage app, verify the client's email address in the app and then I simply upload the site on an independent ftp server. The form works then after a few months, just stops working.

Hello John,

So, the issue happens with an HTML site on a third-party hosting. If you have one example now please let us know. If you don't please let us know the next time you will need to verify the email again after the form stops working, we will need the site's URL to check.

Thank you.
