Ask a Question

I downloaded and installed the nicepage plugin to my wordpress site. I chose a template from which to build a new page which ultimately I will use to replace the home page. the footer of the page I am working on says "footer will not be visible on live site" then it has a link for change "Page Template" But clicking the link only closes the page properties sidebar. And all of the template pages I choose say the same thing. What's going on here and how do I have a footer that wil show up on the live site.

Invariably what I am wanting to do is totally redesign my blog to a nicepage temple/build which basically consists of a main page (home page) and category pages with their respective posts.

Your issue may be similar to the one in this post: https://nicepage.com/questions/509175/footer-links-issue

When designing a template for use with WordPress, the footer links are just placeholders for the widgets you define in your WordPress theme editor.

Thanks for the response. This doesn't seem to be the same problem. It's the entire footer, not links. Additionally, I am building the page in WordPress using the nicepage plugin.

Hi,

If you want the desired footer to appear the same across the whole site you need to create this footer in a desktop application and export a Theme to your site. The Footer is a part of the Theme (the same as the Header) and Theme cannot be created inside the plug-in. So please open the desktop application, design header and footer, export the Theme only (do not choose to export plug-in and pages) and activate this theme on your site.

I'm having this same problem in Wordpress. But I've been reinstalling the updated theme from desktop into Wordpress. And still, on those Wordpress generated pages, it's the old footer that shows, not the updated one. I've tried deleting both the theme and plugin from Wordpress, then reinstalling them both again. But the problem remains on the Wordpress generated pages.

Switching the Site Style Source to plugin applies the updated footer and header to all pages; HOWEVER, doing so changes the size and colors of page content, so it fixes one thing but breaks another.
