Ask a Question

Hi
I jut purchased the personal version of nocepage with a view to upgrding to Pro/Ultimate whilet the Black Friday deal is still running.
However, I have an issue I am hoping you can make suggestion to fix easily. I created a desktop website and exported it as HTML to https://demo.baconsites.com/1012/, I also exported the WordPress code to https://demo.baconsites.com/1002/.

If you compare both versions of the website you will notice that padding/margin between section is much greater on the WP site, not only that but on the WP site when I look at a page in designer mode the padding/margin is identical to the desktop desigr, so somewhere in the final CSS extra padding/margin is being added.

The attached screenshot is WP Admin with a page in designer mode it shows clearly the hero heading with 0px margin to the page header, but on the front end there is padding /margin of about 70px between the two blocks and this is the same padding margin difference between all blocks. Any ideas what could be causing this and how do I fix it?

Thank you
Lee

Hi Rami
sorry had a typo the url,
for the WP site is https://demo.beaconsites.com/1002.
The HTML site is https://demo.beaconsites.com/1012/.
I am not at my desktop at the moment so I will attach the screenshot later but the WP designer looks the same as the desktop designer

Thanks
Lee

Added screenshot yesterday, cannot find it today, so adding again.

The screenshots show this page https://demo.beaconsites.com/1002/our-team/.
in the screenshot of WP designer there's 1px gap between header and top image, notice the much bigger gap on the front end of the site

Hi Lee,

Looks like the gap is coming from the styles added in your theme. Let me know what theme you are using on your WP site.

The only theme I have is the standard Twenty-Twenty. I deleted all other themes from the installation.

Hi Lee,

OK, I see, the default theme has the styles for the Section tag that add that margin. You can try to use another theme or add a custom code to override those settings.

Hi Hella
You are correct, I switched to using Genesis Theme and the front end is exactly as I expected it to be.

Thank you

Lee
