Why Keep Directing Me To Wp Admin

Ask a Question

Why am I keep getting directed to wp admin to make changes

Since I started wrking on designing a blog theme with NicePage it has been a nightmare

A thing I did not realise at the outset, is that I am better using the desktop app for any designing as there is limited features with the plugin.

As well as that if I make changes at wp admin, then every time I make changes I have to go in and correct rverythng in wp admin over and over again

So why not just allow me to get to grips with the desktop app?

I have found this journey mostly frustrating and I really only joined nicePage because I reckoned it would be simpple, and clearly this is not the case.

  • should have just used a template I was familiar with and not bothered at all with Nicepage

That being said I do want to get to grips with it and I do want to make it work, so I am trying yet again.

I started over on the desktop app and when I upload it does not work on the live site, parts of it anyway

Then NicePage suggest I fix it in wp admin

Or they direct me to a link that does not answer my question

There are a few there who have been helpful, that being Anna and Alan

Other than that, many times I have felt like giving up

I think I am nearly there now, but when I ask a question, I am steered to a link and it does not answer what I am asking

Some help would indeed be appreciated

Warmest Regards,

Gordon

I have accidently deleted everything lol Anna

As a result I cannot make a video with my current issues, I will have to start again absolutely from scratch, I had removed the desktop application from my pc and I had not made a backup which was a silly thing to do on mypart

Maybe this next time around will be easier.

Let's hope so but I will focus on doing any designing on the desktop app this time, and I will make a backup of my site so that I do not have to go back to the start again

Ah well

Have a wonbderful weekend Anna

and thanks so much for all oif your help and also not only that, but your patience also.

Warmest Regards

Alexander

Hello Alexander,

When you import your Nicepage-designed pages into WordPress, WordPress takes over the management of certain global elements, including the menu.
You should name each menu position in your project before exporting like primary menu and footer menu. Plugin editor will show only one primary menu for both positions, so your menus should be managed within WordPress admin only.

This means that any changes you want to make to the menu (such as adding, removing, or rearranging items) should be done in the WordPress admin > Appearance > Menus section.
This is not a bug or error; it is how WordPress is designed to work. WordPress applies its settings to menus site-wide to ensure consistency across all pages. When you change the menu settings in WordPress, they will automatically be applied to all your pages, including the ones designed with Nicepage.

...................................................
Sincerely,
Anna.
