I remember reading in the release notes a while back that for responsive modes, there would be improved support for fonts.
Is this implemented yet? Should I need to go through each mode and adjust font sizes for headings? Or am I doing something wrong?

Could you please explain what functionality you need? If you have issues with incorrect display of font size in different modes, then please provide screenshots.

I was under the impression that a recent update had more mobile functionality so that if I were to select 60pt font size on desktop, it would automatically resize for me on smaller screens.
Was I wrong in my understanding?

Yes, with the latest updates we improved responsive for mobile vies that means you shouldn't have any obvious issues. But concerning font size, each user has its own view of how exactly he needs to resize in mobile devices. So it would be better if you check the font size in all Modes.
