Ask a Question

I have an email sign up form on my site that submits to a mailchimp url, but receive the error message "Site Owner Error: Invalid site key or not loaded in api.js"

I have checked and made sure that the recaptcha site keys have been added to the site.

How do I fix this?

Hello Jessica,

Thanks for contacting us!

The error message "Site Owner Error: Invalid site key or not loaded in api.js" indicates a problem with reCAPTCHA integration on your email signup form, even though you've added the site keys.

Please make sure that you integrated ReCaptcha correctly: https://nicepage.com/doc/61415/recaptcha-integration

Also:

Ensure you're using the Site Key (public key) in your Nicepage form settings, not the Secret Key.

Clear your browser cache and try again. Sometimes cached files can cause issues with loading the reCAPTCHA script.

Please let us know the result.

Sincerely,
George.
