Parallax option is intended to work with the images, so that's why the option is switching. If you need the background to have only color, then use the image in that color.

Thanks Hella, is there another option I need to set (other than parallax) as when I try what you suggest I simply get a clock with the image colour and no parallax scrolling just a full block

I think it doesn't make sense add parallax to only a color background...

Maybe you could explain what you want to achieve in some details and screenshots? I do not get what is the point of using parallax for the plain color background.

I do not want to use a plain colour background I want use the text from the footer and move to the block which will scroll as you move down the page.

Thank you for the details. Unfortunately, the parallax effect is for background images only. It cannot be applied to the Text or any other control.

Hi Olivia, are there any suggestions as I am trying to convert the customer over to Joomla/Nicepage from Wordpress.

There is no such possibility in the application, but you can try to arrange it manually. Give the class name to your footer (avilable in the right panel options) and then also check the Anchor id of the last Block above the footer. Then add the following code in the Additional CSS area:

.sticky-footer {
    position:fixed!important;
    bottom: 0;
    left: 0;
    width: 100%;
    z-index: -1!important;
}
#sec-c82f
{
    margin-bottom:281px!important;
}

where sticky-footer is the class name I gave to my footer, the sec-c82f is the id of my last block and 281px is the height of my footer. Put your values instead.

Yeah Hi, Parallax in my mind is the ability to place one PNG image over another in order to give the user a feeling of depth when he/she moves the mouse over the parallax image,

Having said that, the front page slide show gives the user the option of setting a parallax image as a slide. This would mean selecting a background image and a foreground image.

Please explain if this is achievable, if its not, please don't waste peoples time like as in this long winded discussion.

Parallax is a design effect when background image moves slowly than foreground images or any other block content. Nicepage provides a parallax option for the background images only.
