Report a bug

Does anyone have a solution to a problem, where the Footer would be consistent across pages?
I have problem with all the WooCommerce links in footer, not being links but just plain text instead.
The WooCommerce sites have not been edited with nicepage, but the Nicepage theme has been applied as default theme for whole website. Everything else works, but links in footer.

Unfortunately none of the suggested topics had helped.
The links in the footer are working correctly on https://onebiome.pl, but not working in the WooCommerce parts of the website:
https://onebiome.pl/sklep, https://onebiome.pl/sklep, https://onebiome.pl/koszyk, https://onebiome.pl/zamowienie.
Instead of links, I have blank text.
The footer settings are set for the whole project.

Hello Michał,

Please check your footer links in the theme file with the desktop application as there are no added links, see attached.
If the links are empty in the theme file you need to add them and update your theme on site.

Let us know your results.

Anna.

That is precisely my point. The LINKS ARE SET IN FOOTER SETTINGS for the ENTIRE WEBSITE, yet they aren't properly displayed on the WooCommerce parts of the website WHICH WEREN'T EDITED WITH NICEPAGE due to incompatibilities with plethora of WooCommerce plugins. They ARE PRESENT in FOOTER SETTINGS in app and in Wordpress plugin app.

If there is any way to download edited theme from Wordpress, please enlighten me :) I was searching for that option for so long, I have started editing everything on WordPress.

Best,
Michał

Hello Michał,

The footer links added in the Nicepage editor plugin are applied to your Nicepage pages only, not woocommerce pages and that is correct.
Your WooCommerce pages using your site's active theme - Theme Name: onebiome_2_2
This theme was created with the Nicepage desktop application and imported on-site, do you have that file?
Your Nicepage pages can use this active theme or not, it depends on the page template configuration applied for each Nicepage page, either Nicepage header and footer or Theme header and footer.

Anna.

Hello Anna,
I do have that file, but since then I have had made serious changes in the Nicepage Wordpress plugin.
I believe reverting to the state from 6 months ago is the exact opposite of "why am I writing to you".
Believe me, if I had not concluded that option by myself, this thread with me, asking you to debug your software, wouldn't be even opened. If not, please suggest solution that won't revert my progress from last six months.

Best,
Michal

Hi Michał,

As my colleague has explained above, the footer you have edited in the plug-in on the site is applied only to the pages created with Nicepage. All the site pages like shop pages, blog and so on are using the Theme header and footer and they cannot be edited in the plug-in, only within the application.
But the good news are that you do not need to rework all the site in the desktop application. You only need to create the Footer and Header as in your site and export the Theme only (do not include content and plug-in), then upload it to the site and activate. Now your shop pages would be using the correct footer.

Let me get this straight...
The workaround suggested by you as the support, is to reiterate part of my work, because your software can't handle edits properly across platforms and within the platform onto which is pluggable? Am I correct here?

Hi Michał,

Unfortunately there is nothing else we can suggest. I will try to explain again what I have written above. The Theme and the edits that you do in the plug-in are not the same things. The Theme can be applied to all site pages and the plug-in settings are only for the Nicepage pages. I assume that your intention was to be able to edit the theme from the plug-in. Nicepage cannot edit the Theme within the plug-in. But also you should know that the theme and the content are different things. So all the content that you have created within the plug-in will be safe on the site and no need to rework it in the application to create the proper theme with the desired footer.
So here are the steps that would help you:
1. Open the desktop application and create a new project
2. Create only Header and Footer
3. Press the Publis button and choose the WP option. Select only the Theme checkbox (including the templates for the shop). Unselect the Pages and plug-in.
4. Export as zip, upload to the site as a Theme and active it. Do not replace content or apply anything except the theme.

I hope that it won' take much time and creating a new header and footer would provide you with a working theme for your site that would be easy to update next time you want to edit the theme parts. Just open this project in the desktop application and perform the steps above.
