Ask a Question

Hello nicepager,

I have a question about the use of google fonts.
It is certainly explained somewhere in the documentation, but I would rather be sure because of linguistic uncertainties.

The site should run at any rate without access to the google servers for reasons of data protection in Germany. What exactly do I have to set so that the homepage I create meets these requirements?

Many thanks in advance!

Hello Christian,

You must check the box to embed Google fonts in your Site Settings >> Cookies.
If the site is CMS based you need to be sure the box is checked with your theme and plugin theme site settings.

Hello again.
After months I came back to my cookie popup yesterday.
I'm still not sure whether I'm legally compliant with the one I have built.

In your instructions there is an option to select "EU cookie popup", but in "my" Nicepage I can only find "cookie popup" without the addition "EU". Is there a difference or can I ignore this?
I now have two buttons in my cookie popup - "confirm" and "reject".

On many websites there is the option to select or deselect the cookies individually. Can I add a third button that offers the visitor to my website this option (as in my screenshot)? Do I have to learn scripting for this? Or can I organize this using the option of adding my own links to the buttons? Or what else can I use those links for?

Thank you very much ...

Hi Christian,

The Cookie popup is the only option, we do not have a different popup to select. Also there is no possibility to add some selection for the cookies you want to keep and decline. You may try to use some third-party extensions for the cookies popup on your site.

Thanks for the fast reply. Can you give me an idea how to work with third-party extensions? Is it with CSS codes or plug-ins? To be honest - I know the terms, but not how to work with them. 😁
Most important: I assume the Cookie-Popup with only "keep" and "decline" is sufficient for german law? Thanks again...

Hi Christian,

What type of site you are creating? If this is a CMS, you can find the corresponding plug-in. And in case of HTML site it may be a piece of code that you need to include in the theme.
Unfortunately I do not know how exactly our cookies popup complies with German law, you'd better check the requirements.

Christian,

If you do not use WP or Joomla, the only way is to use the HTML Element. So you need to embed HTML code from the third-party provider.
