How to mirror an image in a cell with expanded mode enabled

I was trying to flip an image within a cell. I had to leave the 'expanded mode' to see the options. But after adjustment and switching back to 'expanded mode' the image flipped back to the original view.

Is there something I overlooked?
Please your advice.

You can flip the image when it is not set as a background in a cell.

Thanks George, then I did the right thing :-).
And if I want to flip the image but keep it as a background image I have to do that in an image editor like Photoshop.
