canonical problems

Ask a Question

I found out that all my websites designed in Nicepage contain ":canonical links", and that's why Google is not indexing all pages, only the index page. My "clients" are not happy! Over 40 websites of NICEPAGE WERE CREATED.

It seems to be a Nicepage issue, because I read:
Multi-page website: Canonical URL in every pages refers to the same page "index.html". This means that google ignores all pages except "index.html". This is an SEO disaster.
Why is this issue not solved? This very serious!
How can we change that?

THE PAGES ARENOT BEING INDEXED BY GOOGLE. EVERY PART OF YOUR PROGRAM WAS COMPLETED AS REQUIRED. PLEASE GIVE THEANSWERS. NOW.

Hello,

Nicepage editor provides the option to add canonical URLs manually under the Page Settings >> SEO tab. It does not add canonical links automatically.

You program does not work......You must supply a web site that can be INDEXED by GOOGLE, PERIOD.You will not have a company once this is known.

YOU MUST BE SPECIFIC.

Hi Alfred,

Sorry once again, but as explained above, we do not add canonical links by default, each canonical link should be added manually in each Page Settings as my colleague has explained above. If you have a project where you haven't used that option and a site where the links are in code, please provide them here so we could check.

This was never explained to me..........Then why have the section of your site with the canonical input without mentioning that fact?

And also, the google tag manager requirement is different from your site input, so who is correct?

From what I have seen so far and finally learned, everything is manual, for the google and canonical input, plus the meta tags.

YOU HAVE THE BEST WEB TEMPLATE IN THE WORLD, don't lose it.

Alfred,

why have the section of your site with the canonical input without mentioning that fact?

Do you mean that we need to somehow inform about that? why?

the google tag manager requirement is different from your site input, so who is correct?

Please elaborate on this.
