Hi,
What does it mean "the Position control cannot be used within the content area?"
It means that when you create the default Joomla article in Joomla, you cannot CREATE a new position in the theme in this article. Since the Nicepage page is based on the Joomla article, you cannot CREATE position in the theme from the Nicepage Page. Therefore, when you insert the Position control on the Page between Header and Footer, it is just like if you try creating a position in the Joomla article. The Nicepage page is the content. Position is a theme element.
But Joomla system provides {loadposition} shortcode, which can display the module from the existing theme position. In Nicepage, the same result can be achieved if you add Position to the Nicepage page and use the name of the existing module position. Also, as far as I know, in Joomla, you can type any position name under the module settings, and this will work too.
So, you cannot CREATE position from the Nicepage page. But if you have Joomla module in some position, you can use the name of this position for Nicepage Position control to display the module from this position.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Olivia
