Hello,
Unfortunately, the Nicepage form works with recaptcha v3 only. It is not possible to integrate any other captcha because Nicepage does not provide the option to edit the form source code.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi Olivia, I've been browsing the forum for related questions. From what I could read, the issue with recaptcha not being GDPR compliant is mentioned quite a few times already. Since there already are many alternatives available we can use in Joomla, may I ask why there (still) is no solution for this problem?
I would suggest to implement the captcha "flavor" defined in Joomla as "default" to be enabled in Nicepage too. When there is a choice to use the POST method used by Nicepage, or the POST method incorporated in Joomla... Couldn't it be possible to implement some kind of selector for the captcha application of our choice?
As I'm working on forms that need to be in line with high level privacy regulations, I for one, am really interested in using one of the solid alternatives. While we were stuck with only one working system some time ago, we had no other choice than work with Google. As everyone knows that privacy isn't really high up on their priority list, we now can select alternatives that comply with European GDPR regulations... So why not implement them and cut us loose from Google?

Hello,
We understand the importance of privacy and GDPR compliance, especially when it comes to handling user data in forms. As you correctly pointed out, reCAPTCHA has raised concerns due to its data handling practices, which may not align with GDPR requirements.
You can manually integrate alternative captcha solutions in your Joomla forms by leveraging Joomla's built-in capabilities and plugins. This approach allows you to use GDPR-compliant captchas until we officially support more options in Nicepage. In the case of using external plugins, you can integrate the contact form as a module in a Nicepage page.

It’s honestly disappointing that a paid website builder still doesn’t offer proper privacy-friendly captcha options like hCaptcha. The development effort for such an integration should easily be covered by 3–5 yearly subscriptions / lifetime licences.
I really do like Nicepage for its ease of use. But having to manually adjust every project just to make it privacy-compliant is starting to undermine my confidence in the platform.
I can guarantee to the decision-makers at Nicepage: if you commit to a privacy-first approach, you will gain more customers. Not only would you reduce bandwidth, storage and potential legal risks in case of data incidents (which inevitably happen), but your users would also be far more satisfied. Because they wouldn’t be put in a position where they might become liable for issues created by the platform itself.
Hello Patrick,
Thank you very much for sharing your detailed feedback. We completely understand your concerns regarding privacy-friendly Captcha solutions and GDPR-compliant workflows.
At the moment, Nicepage integrates only the standard Google reCAPTCHA versions 3 and 2 options, and more advanced privacy-focused alternatives like hCaptcha are not yet available. We agree that having such options built in would make projects easier to keep compliant without extra adjustments, especially for users who prioritize data protection.
We have forwarded your message directly to our management and development teams, as requests like yours help shape our roadmap.
Thank you again for your thoughtful insights and for being a dedicated Nicepage user.

Hurry Up. I say you for Years, integrated more and better Anti-Spam Solutions.
recaptcha is not gpdr and updatet his terms
