How can i have one element over two block + Dropdown problem

First question, I got this gradient element and i want to put it over two blocks so it transition smoothly, anyway i could do this?

Second question, i got a couple of dropdown box, and a image next to it. But when i open the dropdown, the image moves?
any solution?

Hi,

You can try to make one block with a gradient background and then position a grid in it imitating two blocks with the same background area.
Do you align the image to the bottom? Try to set the align top and also check that the top margin is set to 0. If this does not help, provide a link to your site to see the issue and also attach the exported project.
