Rewrite URL's shows and includes Nicepage menu/section titles

In this case, the rewriting of URL is not related to your problem.
When the Nicepage plugin imports the content and creates the menu items, they have aliases like ct-menu1-item2 to avoid possible conflicts with existing menu item aliases. Therefore, you need to find an item with this alias (this should be the parent of the page you write) and rewrite the alias manually. Just enter a new one. Joomla allows this.

And when is the wishlist item of the image carousals feature coming in
future editions of Nicepage?

Unfortunately, at this moment we can't say exactly in which update this feature will be implemented, please follow our news. Currently on,y Regular Slider control is available.
