Ask a Question

Hi
surely you guys have visited youtube?,
where you can see there are small thumbnail photos representing different videos you can choose to watch. When you click on one of these small thumbnail photos, it launches another webpage displaying the video, running, but in larger size format, so you can comfortably watch only that one running video in the larger size format.

Please dont tell me you have never visited youtube.

Okay so can you guide me how to do like youtube style, using my local (almost full-screen size) MP4 video file (which I can also place on same webserver, in the correct subfolder path), where after the User clicked on the small thumbnail JPG photo, it launches that larger (almost full-screen size) video in another webpage.

Seems Nicepage fail to be able to do that,
Please please please assist.

This posted question (474501) is wrongly blocked from public display because of your wrong setting of "private".
This posted question touches on the topic of the feature of "video thumbnails clickable to launch another webpage displaying that video in almost full screen, similar to YOUTUBE style",
is a MAJOR unattained, unachieved, uncapable, lack-of-ability-irritant bugbear that seems aflicted by all commercial webpage-builder services/software such as "nicepage", "mobirise", etc, and practically all others as well.
In actual fact, in the background, the HTML5 codes to enable it is very much simple, utilising HTML5 code ie:
"target=_blank".
Please change this posted question's setting from "private" to "public", so the awareness and highlight of the need to look into enabling this lack-of so-called "YOUTUBE" style feature.
Technically speaking, you cant expect your customer, designing a webpage, with a website having many many locally placed files of MP4 videos, to display the screens of each and every video in large sizes by default taking up large areas of the available screen of the webpage even when all of these videos are not running yet. Its ridiculous, amaturistic by many of today's standards and norms, where instead having multiple smaller thumbnails (eg. jpg) photos is enough as representation for each of those videos. That is the more natural way of representing multiple videos, similar to YOUTUBE style.

Hello Morpheus,

Thanks for using Nicepage.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. You need the "Add Poster" button. And here is this feature. You can add a poster, it is like a Thumbnail on YouTube. You can create an image, that you want for Thumbnail, and then you can upload it to Nicepage and add it as a Poster to the video.

Please let us know if you have any further questions. The best wishes from Nicepage.

George.
