How to set a theme background image

After the last update I thought I could not set a background image, but I found that it is still possible, only then it is not possible to set a background for a block on top of that.
But, I searched how to set a theme-background-image and that I cannot find in the change options for colors etc.
How can I do that?

Thanks very much for the quick answer, but to be honest, for me it does not seem logical. You have to click on a color to see the background picture possibilities too.
No wonder that I could not find it!

Why not mention the theme background picture possibility on the first(!) page you see as you go to "edit theme"?

Maybe something to think about.

Theme background option is available under the Theme >> Colors

This is correct but not completely.

I'm using 3.0.9 and that option does not display the image fill feature. Instead it has a link to Background for All Pages (see attached).
When navigating this link the next option does not offer the image fill and other choices (see attached). The background image just repeats, fills each block added! I have to change page each time, then custom, and select a page fill colour; but this choice should be in the option you mentioned, should't it?

Thanks. I realize that I had set a background image as well as a page background. That little problem solved.
