Blog element filtered by creation date

How can we order the articles in the blog element by the created date rather than the modified date (Joomla). I can't think of any situation where the modified date would be preferred over the created date. Thanks

Thanks for being our customer!

This is normal behavior for Joomla, and this is the way Joomla displays blog posts. They are sorted by the date of editing, not creating. Unfortunately, we cannot change this behavior as this is a Joomla-side feature.
