Text background color and transparency option

When using text against an image background, there is often the need to have a background colour in the text box to provide the necessary contrast. Further, being able to set transparency provides some great effects.

This is a common feature in many off the shelf templates, so I imagine it's very doable.

Please!

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the suggestion. You can use the Container control to set the background color and transparency and then add the Text control within it.

The container workaround is Ok if you want the whole container that colour but if you only want the text block to have a colour it doesn't work. For example a container with a heading line of text above a form where the heading text is a call to action (Get a Quote) you need to be able to have this text have a different colour so that you can create some contrast or emphasis. It's easy enough to create using CSS but it ought to be a setting.

Hi,

OK, this suggestion is added to our wishlist. Meanwhile that should be indeed easy to add the background with the CSS code. You can assign the custom CSS class name to the control using the options in the right panel and past the CSS code in the CSS window so it will be used by that control.

Has this been addressed yet? It's 2 years later and I don't see how to assign a background color to a text or headline element. I'm using Nicepage 3.9.3. Am I missing something? I have to put a text box in another container just to accomplish this. It doesn't always yield the best results.
