Ask a Question

Hello, ive been trying to make a wordpress website for someone using the NicePage website maker to make it a bit easier for myself.

Sometimes which is like 3 or 4 times a week a random page on my site shows a weird chinese marketplace instead of my own website, the url is correct but shows a weird chinese website with my url as the logo. Is this a flaw in the NicePage plugin, if so how do i prevent this

Hello Tim,

We are sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with your WordPress website using the NicePage plugin. It's essential to address this situation promptly to ensure the security and integrity of your website.

The symptoms you described sound like your website might have been compromised or affected by malicious activities. It's possible that your website has been hacked, and the Chinese marketplace content is being displayed instead of your actual website.

Here are some steps you can take to address and prevent this issue:

  • Scan for Malware: Run a thorough malware scan on your website using a reputable security plugin or service. This will help identify
and remove any malicious code or files that might be causing the
    issue.

  • Update Plugins and Themes: Ensure that all your WordPress plugins, themes, and the WordPress core itself are up to date.
Outdated software can be vulnerable to security exploits.

  • Check for Suspicious Users: Review your WordPress user accounts and remove any unfamiliar or suspicious users with unauthorized
    access.

  • Change Passwords: Update your WordPress admin and hosting account passwords to strong and unique ones. Avoid using easily guessable
    passwords.

  • Secure Hosting Account: Contact your hosting provider and ask them to perform a security check on your hosting account.

  • Backup Your Site: Before making any changes, create a complete backup of your website, so you can restore it if needed.

  • Review Your Plugins: Check the plugins you have installed on your website and ensure they come from reputable sources. Remove any
plugins that are not in use or not regularly updated.

  • Add Security Measures: Consider using a security plugin that provides additional protection against potential threats and
    unauthorized access.

It's essential to act quickly to resolve this issue to prevent further damage or unauthorized access to your website. If you're not confident in addressing this problem yourself, it might be best to seek assistance from a professional WordPress developer or a security expert.

Always remember to take security seriously and take appropriate measures to safeguard your website and its data.

Side question, now on my website once i click on edit with nicepage on my pages it goes to the loading screen but nothing else.

Please create a separate private ticket for this issue and provide temporary access to the website wp-admin panel for further clarification.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help.
...................................................
Sincerely,
Ahmad.

I have been using this product for a long time, I sleep so much better at night knowing that it's protecting my sites. Nothing's guaranteed… if you have the cash go with the pro version then you'll have tech support on your side. Fantastic tech support.
Good Luck!
