HTML Export unique CSS block names

Ask a Question

HI all,

We're looking to use the excellent designer to create a site that looks polished - but we are converting the exported HTML to an application.

As we're looking to create a SPA app, it makes sense for us to put all the CSS in the common page header. However, as each page has it's own CSS on export - is there a way to make the section names unique?

e.g. instead of u-section1 something like u-pageName-section1

Thanks,
Lee

Hi Lee,

You can add the custom CSS class name to each Block. Just open the Block options in the right panel and there will be the CSS Class input box, where you can add the desired class name and also include the CSS code itself.

Thanks Hella. I'm not looking to add custom CSS, I'm just trying to understand if I can override the default names.

I've attached the examples, I've entered the CSS Class as HomeIntro, however it still exports as u-section-1.

u-section-1 is the name I'd like to change, so they are unique across my pages.

Thanks,
Lee

Hi Lee,

No, you cannot change the default name of the section. I meant that you can only add the new additional name and the custom css for that new class.

We would aslo very much appreciate the function to add some custom prefix into each class of the generated css.. If we put some section with the css to some allready made site, it affects the css.

Hi,

Nicepage uses classes with "u-" prefix: e.g. "u-section1". But apart from block-specific styles, Nicepage provides general styles. They may affect existing website styles. But it depends on the specific situation.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
