On the pages window (windows version), it appears that you cannot make a page a subpage of another page.
This should be a basic feature in the application.
And you cannot drag and drop a page to make it a subpage.

I could not find an option to move an existing page to a subpage of another page. Drag and drop was not working. It was mentioned in the original post.
I was working on the 'pages' window pane, not on the menu itself.
'Pages' should also offer to view pages as the site structure.

You can do that on the Pages Panel or Dashboard in the Options by selecting the Parent Page for a Page.

I tried to change the properties of a page and there was no option to move it as a subpage.
Drag and drop did not work to move a page a subpage.
And I could not find a place where I could side a site map and move pages where desired.

I'm not sure where exactly the drag and drop does not work for you. Could you please attach some screenshots showing the issues with moving pages as a subpage.
You can easily drag them in the Menu Items options using the icon on the left of each item:

Again, you are looking at the wrong location.
You should be able to manage the site structure (subpages and so on) outside the menu option.
It is normally basic in all website software.
You keep talking about the "menu items" but this should be doable outside the menu items.
You keep talking about menu items because you do not read, said and repeated multiple times.
