Hi George,

Theme is the part that can be edited in the desktop application only. All that you have edited in WP was the content part. So do not worry, just edit the theme in desktop, export the Theme only and install it on the site. Your content will remain unchanged.

i have done quite a lot of work on the content within wordpress….

can i export out from wp and import into desktop nicepage, make changes then reexport and set as new theme in wp?

Hi George,

Open the theme in your desktop application. Then please go to the Theme >> Post template. On that template disable the Header (choose Hide Header option). You can do the same on the Blog template to remove the header from the blog pages of our site. Then export the theme and upload it to your site.

Header is a theme element. You see it because you're using Nicepage theme on your Wordpress website. The regular WP Pages and Posts use Nicepage Post Template. You can hide Header in Nicepage Desktop app on the theme level but this will be applied to all WordPress pages and posts.
Everything between Header and Footer is Nicepage content, Header and Footer, as well as Templates, are theme elements. Nicepage theme works like any other WP theme.

I have an associated question...

my main page has to be edited in nicepage…
however i need another page untouched by nicepage because i have created it as an ordinary wp page and enabling comments allows disqus to open up and allows users to write comments and nothing else... but
when i launch the page the header is included in the page... if i edit it with nicepage i get control over the header as you described earlier... but all comments are ignored and disqus doesn't get loaded...

please advise

Hi George,

Make sure that you open the page created with Nicepage for editing. There you should see the Nicepage Options on the right. There is no need to open the Nicepage editor, that is just in the WP options. There choose the Template >> Nicepage template.
Look at the screenshot:

If you do not see Nicepage options on the right, make sure that this option is enabled under the Screen Options on the top.

In WP you can only set the Nicepage theme (without header and footer) for this specific page and it will remove header and footer on that page. That can be done under the Pages menu >> your page >> Nicepage options in the page options page, there choose the Template >>Nicepage theme (without header and footer).

I really cannot find nicepage options
in wp i can select all pages then for the list of pages then if i hover over my page i get edit quick edit trash view edit with nicepage
and if i select edit with nicepage there are no options for nicepage
