Hi, I cannot add a sidebar in nicepage is this only available in a paid version. I have followed video but when it tells me to open new page then click add position-shortcode it is not in my menu unless I add a block first. If I put it inside a block it shows up in the wrong spot. Cannot add position without block. This does not seem correct.

Hi,

The sidebar can be added on the Blog and Post templates only. The Position control can be added in any Block, you cannot add any control without having a Block where it will be located. Please explain the issue with positioning in more details. You can attach the exported Project and also some screenshots showing the issue.

Hi I have it working in a template and exported all good. If I have the standard joomla frontpage with my exported theme the sidebar shows (see link) http://gunyahvalleyretreat.com.au/joom30/index.php the problem seems to be in positioning it in Nicepage editor. According to your instructions it says: "Adding a Position. Start with a Blank Page. Add a Position. Click Add -> Position and Shortcode -> Position and Sidebar. Resize the Position. Align the Position. Enter “position-sidebar” in the Joomla Position field. The problem I have is the add button is greyed out until I add a block. Your instructions state blank page then add position and shortcode I cannot. If I add a block first, then add position and shortcode and link eveything it works but the side panel ends up in the wrong spot (see link) http://gunyahvalleyretreat.com.au/joom30/index.php/school
I have put a few images on page 2 of link if this helps, in the meantime I will continue to try a work it out.

Hi,

Nicepage controls cannot be added on the page if there is no at least one Block.
Please note that Position control does not create sidebar. It creates a place where you can display the Joomla module added to the corresponding module position ("position-sidebar"). This is equivalent to the Joomla {loadposition} shortcode added somewhere in the content of the Joomla article.
If you want the same Sidebar as on the Post or Blog Template you can assign a Theme Template to the corresponsive article:

In this case, the page will be loaded with the post Template assigned to it, and you will be able to see the sidebar.
