Please provide the instruction you have used to add the code. Also where and how it should appear on your site? Some screenshots would be helpful.

The provided instruction is about Joomla theme customization for the Cassiopea theme.
In the case of the Nicepage theme, this solution is not tested. You should better try to add your installation code to the theme Site Settings with your project file and update your current Nicepage theme.
