Ask a Question

Hi there,

Let's see whether I got this right before I start making a real website. I can make one on my Windows computer with the Nicepage program. No Wordpress needed. When it's done, I can export it to a Wordpress site. I should do that by zipping it and importing it in a clean Wordpress installation in which I installed the Nicepage plugin. Correct?

I make websites for clients and they often want a Wordpress site. But I find creating a website in Wordpress very complicated, even though I haven't tried the Nicepage plugin yet. So this could be a great help for me.

Hi Frank,

Thanks for contacting us

After you finished designing of your website in the Nicepage Desktop app. Export the Theme first, then export the Content separately. Then you can import it to your WordPress website. Import the Theme from your WordPress dashboard >> Appearance >> Theme >> New
Content import it from the plugins. It's not necessarily that Nicepage plugin should be already installed, since any time you update the content you can update the plugin as well.

However, check our documentation below
https://nicepage.com/doc/67768/export-and-update-wp-theme-from-app
https://nicepage.com/doc/67690/export-and-update-wp-content-from-app

You can use the Nicepage plugin directly from your WordPress website, but we recommend that you create the design in the Nicepage Desktop app first. Theme and Plugin preferably should be the same version.

Feel free to contact us if you require any assistance.

Sincerely,
Ahmad.
