Ask a Question

I would like to susbcribe to an higher plan but there are some points that I don't understand.

In the desktop application

1) When I am setting up the width of a header block on the "sheet" parameter, the header block extend on the whole screen.
When I am setting up the width of the header block on the screen parameter, I get the same width but with some space above and below
When I am setting up the width of the header block on the sheet parameter again, the header block extend on the whole screen and the layout changed

2) I would like to know if is possible to get my site with the "sheet" width for computer and screen width for the mobile views. How to do this ? Box ?

3) Is it to possible do desactivate the header if the problem is coming from the header ?

Best regards

Hi, Philippe,

1) When you set any background to your Header, it extends to the whole Header including the part outside the Content Area (dotted lines). It happens both with the Sheet or Screen Width. The main purpose of this option is to adapt your block to definite content width (Sheet) or different screen widths (Screen).
You can test it on your own in the browser preview. When checking a page in the browser preview, open the developer tools (F12), toggle the device toolbar, and test a page with different widths.

2) Unfortunately, it is not possible to do so. The block width is always the same in all responsive modes.

3) Yes, you can easily hide the Header on a page if needed. Just uncheck Show Header and it will not be displayed on a page.

Hello

What is the exact fonction of the header? Is it important (or compulsory) for the SEO and google reference or is it only a template by default for site with menu and lot of pages ?

Best regards

Hi, Philippe,

The Header is the top section of your pages, and it is used for the menu and introductory purposes. Also, in Nicepage, there are a few Elements that can be placed only in the Header and Footer. For example, Menu, Search, Language, and so on.

The Header and Footer are always the same on all pages within one Nicepage Project.
