Ask a Question

Hi, due to a series of errors I needed to reinstall the template generated with nicepage.exe on the site but I keep getting the message
JLIB_INSTALLER_ERROR_NOTFINDXMLSETUPFILE

The need to reinstall is due to the fact that when designing the theme I had a certain menu which, once imported, was seen regularly, but if I then modified the theme from the plugin integrated in joomla, it made it disappear only from the frontend of the site, while if I edited a page it see, except I go online and there was nothing.
I made several attempts during 1 full day, redo the header, redo the menu, add more lines to the header etc.. nothing.
so I thought of:
- remove the template
- (woe) remove the nicepage component

Everything happened correctly but from that moment the joomla control panel became inaccessible to me because it was looking for a file that it could no longer find (loader.php).

At that point I was forced to reinstall joomla on the same space (overwriting) but using a second DB so as to have a clean installation.

After the installation I tried to import the project again but I kept getting the reported error even though the export from the desktop client is complete. The css is imported but no articles and clearly the plugin doesn't work.

What can I do? If I redo the Joomla installation, do I also have to start from a clean hosting space in order to reinstall NicePage on the same domain?

Help me I'm desperate, I've been working on this problem for over 10 hours.
Thank you
Mirko

Hi Mirko,

According to the provided screenshot, you exported the theme with pages, and successfully imported the theme but the plugin import failed for some reason.
Could you please open Joomla Manage Extensions and check if there are new Nicepage plugins or components installed? If so, please uninstall all. Then download the Joomla 4 plugin from our website and try installing the plugin:

https://nicepage.com/download

Does the issue continue? If you successfully installed the plugin you can now import the content from the Nicepage theme by using the Import content option under the theme settings.

Hi Olivia thanks for the reply, the problem when you try to install only the plugin was the same.
The difference between installing template+plugin or just plugin was that template+plugin had subject message in English, only plugin had message in Italian. but the result was the same.

The problem is no longer present .. I canceled the installation, reset the web server, changed DB, lost all data and restarted from scratch ;)
In the same time of my analysis and troubleshooting... I redid all the page and styling, luckily the page and data was gone.

Thank you
Mirko
