Ask a Question

I fist want to emphasize the importance of multilingual support.
With no multilingual support i think any tool is useless. I've seen some forum topics about multilingual and none with a solution.
As far as i know in joomla you have to install the language you want to use (say english and italian), then you have to create a page of each language and to associate them (the home page in english can be associated to the home page in italian. Then you have to activate the language plugin, available in every joomla installation. you also have to create a module using the language plugin.
Then there is the need to associate the module to a position.
What i did in the nicepage macos application is to insert in the top side of the page a module position, to which i gave the name of "forlanguage". I tried to position it at the side of the menu.
In joomla i associated the language switcher module to this position and saved.
Unfortunately i could see the title of the module but not its content (the pull down menu with the two languages).

Hi,

Please provide a link to your site so we could check the language switcher appearance.
Also have you checked the language module with the other themes? Does it appear fine?

Hi Hella,
sure, here is the link: https://luigiscuderi.cloudaccess.host/it/
maybe it is a matter of size of the position...

Hi,

The language module is visible. But it does not show any languages. The list is empty. Nicepage is not responsible for the output of the Joomla module. It creates a position only. Therefore you should check all steps related to the configuring multilanguage website in Joomla. I suggest that you check the "Description" tab on the Language Selector module. There is a short instruction.
In order to be sure that this is a general problem, you can switch to the default Joomla theme and associate this module with another module position. Most probably you will not see language icons too.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
