Report a bug

Hello, I am trying to remove the .html extension on the URLs of my pages within my website. When I click publish, there is an option to "Create Links without .html" but it doesn't seem to be working. When I click a link on my menu, it goes to the correct link (sitename.com/pagename) without the .html, but it gives me a 404 page error. Only when I manually add in an .html does the page actually show up. I tried multiple ways to fix this (i.e. go to menu options and manually put in the Web Address without the html) but nothing seems to be working.

Help!!!

I'm still getting a 404 error when I click on links in my menu as of 12/23/22. Pages only show up properly when I write in the .html in the URL, even though I checked off the box to create links without.

Or can I add an htaccess file to my Nicepage hosting?

Added edit - interesting discovery, the .html doesn't show up if I visit the given nicepage.io URL. It just doesn't work with my custom domain...

Hi,

This feature is still in beta, and not yet supported for the custom domains. We are sorry for the confusion!

Suggestion: Change the example to not appear to be a custom domain - website.com

Hi,
Is this feature perhaps also available when you choose the export to HTML option?
