Different categories on different pages?

Ask a Question

I am working on a website for an old friend where he wants to show some of his design work. There are something like 4 menu items and some of them also have sub-menus.
Every page you end up in should list blog posts (if that's the best way to make this work) with the latest one showing at the top.
So I thought I might be able to put the posts in different categories, like post number 1–10 will be in "category A" and they are the ones that will be shown when you click menu option 1.
And if you click menu option 2 then it will list the posts that are in "category B" and so on.
Is it possible to connect a blog post category to one menu item?
Is that possible to do in Nicepage for Wordpress. Not sure how to set it up so it will work like that.

What he wants to show are some designs he made and they should be listed in the menus so that the ones he made for childrens books will be one category and only listed under the menu Childrens Books. One that will show Posters. So if you click POSTERS it will list the posters he made and he will put one poster image in one post and write a little about it and whenever he makes a new poster he will make a new post that will be listed at the top. Then there is one menu with book designs where he will show images of a book with the front page and sometimes a photo of the inside pages.

Is this the best way to do it? Or is there a better solution?
And how can I connect a category to be listed when you click one of the menu items?

Hello,

If you plan to use WordPress, there is no need to manage posts in Nicepage. You can create corresponding categories and posts in WordPress. Nicepage provides Blog Templates for WordPress category pages. Once the category view is requested, the Nicepage theme assigns Blog Template from the Nicepage theme to this page. You can add links to category pages to the menu in the usual way under the WP Appearance >> Menus.

Also, Nicepage provides a Blog Posts element that can be added to the Nicepage page. You can add the existing WP category name under the element's settings on the right-side panel to display posts from this category on the Nicepage page. The Nicepage page can be linked to the menu in the usual way in Nicepage or via WP Appearance >> Menus.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks. Sound simple, but I didn't get that second solution. Is there any tutorial showing this?
