Everything is included in one price.
You don’t need to use Nicepage hosting.
You can export the sites from the desktop app and publish to your own host.
They used to be separate but were combined without an increase in price.
Try the 7 day trial and free starter version and see if it works for you.

And so Nicepage charges for hosting, regardless whether one uses it or not? Odd. Not a customer friendly business model, that's for sure.
The problem for me is - I want to build just a single website for my business. Already have a hosting service. And once the site is complete - it will rarely ever require changes. So that means I'll be stuck paying, in perpetuity, for hosting I don't use and an app I don't either? Yikes.
Oh, and have been using the trial app... I like it a lot - hence why I'm asking.

Didn’t you read my response?
It used to be separate but they combined the desktop app and online app/hosting without a price increase.
Not customer friendly?
Really?
So you want to use a product you like and find helpful and not pay the people that put the work in and have ongoing expenses?
Use the free Starter version.

Ok, it was separate previously. Great. To someone already familiar with the company, that might seem like a deal. However, as someone coming in cold, I have no reference as to what came before. I can only compare it to current competitors.
FYI - I was referring only to it's pricing structure with my "not customer friendly" comment. ie. it's convenient for Nicepage to offer a single hosting/design pricing plan. But for anyone who prefers independent control over their hosting and design software, it's the complete opposite. No?
Admittedly, the subscription model/bundling tactic has become overly common these days, it's not just Nicepage. I'm just disappointed, that's all. I just can't justify paying for hosting twice and/or a never-ending subscription fee for software I'll rarely use after the initial build. It makes no sense.
You aren’t paying for hosting twice.
If you buy a desktop license, hosting is free.
All kidding aside, no one other than you can decide whether an annual fee to use the software is justified.
We all have to make decisions like this all the time.
You say you’ll rarely use it after the initial build.
How helpful was the app with that initial build?
Does that have some value to you?
Was it a timesaver for you?
Is it possible that some changes might need to be made within the next year that might justify even the most basic license?
Only you can answer that.
Haha... I get it, I really do. It's definitely all in how you look at it, for sure.
Actually, your comments gave me an idea. I never even considered paying for a higher tier first (say, the Business Plan) to get full use of the app to build the site. Then, stepping down to the Free plan afterwards. Considering I already have alternative hosting, it seems like it could work.
Mind you, that plan also has "limited customization". So not sure how that hinders the free apps' ability to make basic edits afterwards, should I need them. But hey, if I can figure that part out, I would only be paying for a year's worth of service. And I can live with that. Hmmm... must be a catch somewhere.
