Ask a Question

Today I received an email from the Google Search Console Team for a new website I am building with nicepage.
I tried to find the issue in the HTML code, but I do not understand the problem or how I can fix it.
(Email translated from Spanish)

"Search Console
Logos ("Logotipos" in Spanish) structured data problems detected in aparthotel-boquete.com

Dear owner of aparthotel-boquete.com:
Search Console detected 1 Logos Structured Data issue affecting your site:
Major Critical Issues
Critical issues are preventing your page or feature from appearing in Search results. The following critical issues were found on your site:
Missing field "url"
We recommend that you fix these issues where possible to provide the best experience and coverage on Google Search.
Fix Logo Structured Data issues"

I am using a small jpg image as logo in the header, but there do not appear any options in the nicepage editor that appear to be related and that might resolve the problem. The image is 400x400 pixel and the URL of the image is in the code.
("images/umbrella400x400transparentbackground.png")

Here is the code from the index.html page until the last reference to "logo" (this is the part I think is relevant)

In the part where it says

"name": "Aparthotel Boquete",

there was a blank for the name, which was initially also flagged as an error. I filled the name in by editing the HTML code directly, but as I have not seen any option to add this in the nicepage editor, I guess it will disappear when I republish the page with nicepage.

Hi Volker,

Unfortunately there is no possibility to edit this code part inNicepage. You can try to add the whole part with the name and url in the Site Settings >> HTML >> Additional Head HTML and it will be exported with the theme.

Thanks.
My problem here is that I have no idea what part the note from Google refers to.
As I said, I added the URL in the script part manually to the HTML file, but Google still says that the problem is not resolved.
This is independent of the fact that Nicepage does not generate this part of the code as needed.
I need a hint as to how this can be resolved in the HTML code. Then, of course, I can add the correction as you explained. But where is the error in the code?
If this is flagged as an error by Google that impedes the website's ranking, this is a serious problem that needs to be handled by nicepage.

I have now found more details about this issue.
firstly, I have added this to the header section as recommended:

<script type="application/ld+json">{
"@context": "http://schema.org/hotel",
"@type": "Hotel",
"name": "Aparthotel Boquete",
"logo": "images/umbrella400x400transparentbackground.png",
"url":"https://aparthotel-boquete.com"
"sameAs": [
        "https://www.facebook.com/boquete.apartamentos.3/",
        "https://www.instagram.com/boqueteapartments/"
]
}</script>

Unfortunately, it did not help. Google Search Console is still flagging the same error (see image). It appears that the existing, automatically inserted, incomplete form is the cause. I think it would have to be eliminated, so that GSC does not find it anymore in the page. How can this be done?

I reported this problem a few months ago.
The only workaround for me is to edit the source code before uploading it to the WebHost

I'm the mind that this is an easy task for the NicePage Developers to fix this issue.

There should be no need to create a private, separate case. This issue has been described clearly, and the case has not been resolved. Making the case private would just exclude the other affected users. I want to know the solution, too.

I have the same issue. My site has been running for 10 years and great source of income.

A couple weeks ago I finally updated the site to be more 'mobile friendly' using Nicepage.

Sadly, all traffic has stopped, sales stopped, and Google console gives this same reason. "This is obviously a Nicepage software issue".

What's going on it is not repaired? I see issues in the forum for at least 2 years. I'm worried as H--- and have discontinued all use of my Upgraded Nicepage software. Please help and resolve... 50% of my income is gone for 2 weeks.

Has anyone discovered a manual fix to this critical issue or is Nicepage simply unusable at this point? Too much easy stuff like this going unaddressed. I don't think they have much intention to improve this product.

It looks like this issue was fixed except that one of the parameters, "url": "https://www.example.com", was left out of the fix. I have added it manually and I am now waiting to see if Google has removed the error flag for "Logos structured data issues." The developers need to add this parameter to their fix, as soon as possible.
