Ask a Question

Today I received an email from the Google Search Console Team for a new website I am building with nicepage.
I tried to find the issue in the HTML code, but I do not understand the problem or how I can fix it.
(Email translated from Spanish)

"Search Console
Logos ("Logotipos" in Spanish) structured data problems detected in aparthotel-boquete.com

Dear owner of aparthotel-boquete.com:
Search Console detected 1 Logos Structured Data issue affecting your site:
Major Critical Issues
Critical issues are preventing your page or feature from appearing in Search results. The following critical issues were found on your site:
Missing field "url"
We recommend that you fix these issues where possible to provide the best experience and coverage on Google Search.
Fix Logo Structured Data issues"

I am using a small jpg image as logo in the header, but there do not appear any options in the nicepage editor that appear to be related and that might resolve the problem. The image is 400x400 pixel and the URL of the image is in the code.
("images/umbrella400x400transparentbackground.png")

Here is the code from the index.html page until the last reference to "logo" (this is the part I think is relevant)

In the part where it says

"name": "Aparthotel Boquete",

there was a blank for the name, which was initially also flagged as an error. I filled the name in by editing the HTML code directly, but as I have not seen any option to add this in the nicepage editor, I guess it will disappear when I republish the page with nicepage.

Can anybody help with this issue?

It looks like this issue was fixed except that one of the parameters, "url": "https://www.example.com", was left out of the fix. I have added it manually and I am now waiting to see if Google has removed the error flag for "Logos structured data issues." The developers need to add this parameter to their fix, as soon as possible.

Google reports today that the issue is fixed affter I manually added, as above. P.S. I like your app!

One other thing, I am exporting my HTML to a custom website. That custom website must already be configured in Site settings in order for the url paramter to be added correctly because there is no other way for the developes to know to add it, obviously.

Hi Guys,

Putting the warning message in chatgpt gave the code to integrate with just the logo URL to add, it has to be added in site general settings/ additional HTML

If you come to need extra html code for one reason or another, don't hesitate to use ChatGPT, it's insanely helpful, will give direct answer and free Nicepage support.

Cheers,

Seb

Look Nicepage team, you have done pretty good job with your editor, because your editor is very easy to edit. But you are gonna miss the tons of customers because you are missing the tiny small things which are very much important for SEO.

Some of examples which I noticed for now

  1. No option to add SEO alt for background images
  2. Logo structured data URL missing
  3. Page URL limitation
  4. In your hosting - You are not allowing manage files because of that,
    • Can not add sitemap
    • Can not manage htaccess
if we report it, you say export and use another hosting. Did we buy for this reason? I have bought two different plan, Business
and Ultimate without proper research and very much disappointed now.

I come here to report and I got shocked because, some of the issues reported couple of years ago, but not solved yet.

Hi farookumar92,

Thank you for your comments.

No option to add SEO alt for background images

The ALT HTML attribute can be added to the HTML IMAGE tag only. The background image is a CSS property, not the HTML IMAGE object. Therefore it is impossible to assign ALT attribute. The background image is not an image object.

Logo structured data URL missing
Page URL limitation

Nicepage generated Logo and URL for ld-json data if Logo element and canonical links are added.

Can not manage htaccess

Please provide an example of exactly what you want to manage in the htaccess file.

Olivia
