Ask a Question

Hi,

I just bought nicepage today, and I'm disappointed. My goal was to create template for my joomla site, which displays a simple blog (to start with). I can't get it done, no matter what I tried, I don't get the template and my articles shown on the site. How do I create a template that is capable of showing featured articles?

Hi,

Looks like this is a bug in the theme. We've notified our developers about this issue. We'll provide a fix ASAP.

Thank you,
Olivia

Robbert,

Please update your Desktop version and re-export your theme.

Let me know if you still have any problems.

Thanks,
Oleg

Oleg,

It does do something, but totally not what I expected. When I export and install the theme, In Joomla I can see only the background color of the Blog Template, and my Joomla Articles on it. Graphics of the articles are not shown, no graphics in the header as well. Also no Joomla modules visible (positions do not exist, and I can't create them). Altogether, this is not close to a workable solution for me yet.

Robbert,

To understand your problem, we need at least two screenshots of 1) what you see in your desktop and 2) what you see in Joomla.

Nicepage generates Joomla Positions. If you enable the Sidebar, Nicepage will generate a position, if you enable the Menu, Nicepage will generate a position.

In addition, you can add the Joomla Position control, which will give you more flexibility.

I think the best way to find a solution for your problem is to communicate in Skype.

You can schedule a Skype meeting at https://nicepage.com/download. Via Skype, we will be able to see your screen, and generally, we will have a very effective discussion.

Unfortunately, Monday is busy already, however, we will very happy to meet you any other time.

What do you think?

For your information, currently we are working on the new video tutorial, which will cover the following topics on how to create a Joomla Theme, how to Install theme, and how to use Joomla positions.

Thank you,
Oleg

I have this problem too, it's been a year since this post and the problem is the same?

Whenever you install the theme for joomla, a blog page without "modules" appears, a page without purpose.

I want the main theme to be for articles too. Let the same initial template be for posts and blogs.

Nice page is a problem

Hi,

I'm not sure that I get what exact problem you are talking about. If you set the positions on the Blog template, then the positions will be available in the Joomla backend for the pages that are using the Blog template. You can find more about positions here:
https://nicepage.com/doc/article/6700/how-to-use-positions-in-nicepage-joomla-extension

For more information please create a private topic with a detailed explanation of the issue.
