Ask a Question

I use the pro version desktop mainly for HTML sites. When I modify a site it automatically saves the changes. If I don't like my changes I'm screwed. My only solution seems to be before I exit nice page I need to select undo continuous until I'm back to where I started.
It would be nice to have a save as option so you can keep the old version of the site and save the new one under a different name. Exporting and importing projects is not a good solution.

No, I'm talking about automatically saving the project. See my above post!

jpalmer2,

Unfortunately, autosave cannot be disabled but we added your request to our wish list.

Involuntary "Save on Exit" with a web editor is a really bad idea. If you dont' like changes you made, it is much easier to exit out of a program than to hit "undo" a million times before exiting. Please you have to get rid of this.

My point exactly! Also, why do they have a save button on the desktop version if it saves automatically?

Yet another issue with Nicepage. I recently made a change - and didnt check portrait view in mobile. I then made subsequent changes. I then realised the mistake and wanted to be able to roll back to when I made the change that caused the problem.
I CANT

There is no change history. Most normal people like to make a load of changes - then check / test and then when happy they save their work. If it auto saves and I want to roll back - I am doing it blind.

I love nicepage - but things like this I feel like I just want to drop it. Or rather - I use it to create a theme and use a different editor when in wordpress

P Ogilvie,

We have added your request to our wish list, for now you can use the Undo / Redo operations.

Turn off autosaves.
I did.
If I make changes and don't like them, I cancel out and dismiss the changes.
If it looks good, then I can save it when I want to.

I put my nicepage storage directory under git and run gitwatch which automatically commits any changes. I did this after I accidentally deleted a block and saved, didn't notice till much later.....
