Report a bug

I have built a theme initially inside the desktop app for the Mac and exported for Wordpress. My site looks fine while in preview, but once I log out of Wordpress I see a major distortion, as if its stuck on some broken responsive format. See screenshots.
HELP!
The first couple show the distortion and the last two show how it should look.

The site is: crbh.kyhostwired.com

It may have just been a matter of needing to purge the cache on your system. I just visited your site and it looks like the images in your last two screen shots.

I would recommend that you add a background colour to your sticky menu (rather than using NO BACKGROUND), so that the integrity of your header/menu area is not affected by the images scrolling through it.

My bad... you're right... the images I saw were the result of using my default browser (Firefox). When using Chrome, I saw the same incorrect rendering as you did, but I saw the correct rendering with Microsoft Edge.

@cmyrick, I can confirm you that your website working fine with latest EDGE, Chrome & Firefox as well from my end. So, it's your browser cache not anything from WordPress or server end or CDN end. Just clear cache for your browser & see the changes. If you don't know how to clear browser cache then do a search at google about "how to clear cache ...your browser name....."

I think I figured it out. I noticed when rendering the site with Firefox AND Edge, that the website was showing up as NOT SECURE (the padlock had a stroke through it). When I tried to view the site using the https:// prefix, the rendering got screwed up (matching your screen shot). So, there is something about a portion of your content that is probably working correctly in MIXED (secure/non-secure) mode, but is not rendering properly in secure mode.

Check your WordPress general settings to see whether you have defined your site with the https:// protocol and try displaying again.

@cmyrick, I see you've read the comments here and have converted your WordPress installation to a secure site. Rendering in all browsers appears to be working correctly now.

Again, I would suggest you use a colored header background (rather than no background) so when your sticky menu stays on the screen, it is not obscured by the underlying graphics. Even "white" is considered a color (as opposed to NO background).

Also, be aware that when you place an image in the header or footer area of your site, there is an implied LINK associated with that image, and if you don't specify one, the link will go to the NICEPAGE website. That's probably not what you want.

Now, with regard to your new website kyhostwired.com, I see it is newly registered and you're using Nicepage to build that site as well. I wanted to tell you I absolutely LOVE your logo. Did you design it yourself or did you get someone to do it for you? I wouldn't mind knowing who that person is.

Thank you everyone. Yes it indeed was the security issues, caused by cache plugin. I disabled the plug-in and everything is fine.

As for the header yes, the header originally had a background but I was tweaking to see if something I did was throwing my template off.

Thank you again.
