Ask a Question

Hello and thanks in advance for the help.

I purchased nicepage because of the user-friendly capabilities and features, etc.

I re-developed my website and published it to my hosting company.

When the site is opened from any web browser I get a "Deceptive site ahead"
I have an SSL certificate in place and nothing has changed except that it was developed with nicepage.

I never had any issues when developing this same site using my old website development tool never had this issue.

I contacted my web hosting company about the issue and they are advising me that there is a file (Unknown file) in my site directory which is triggering an alarm in every modern browser algorithm Chrome, Edge, etc, that is causing this problem.

I have no idea which is the file that is causing the problem.

Can anyone advise of a fix for this problem?

Thank you,

Best regards,

Carlos

Hi,

If there is actually a suspicious file, then try exporting this website again and compare the website folder on the server with the exported project. I also recommend that you check the website with the corresponding antivirus tools.

I think it's the URL that's the problem that was labeled a bad site.
You might need to contact them to get it fixed.
https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_error/?tpl=mozilla&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.canissoft.com%2F

Otherwise, I would move everything in the host folder to a temp folder, export your site, and reupload.
Open a fresh browser, Control + F5 to clear the cache, and see what happens.
But like I said above, Google might have stained your URL and you might have to contact them.

Thank you so much for all your help.

I already sent the report

I have done what you have suggested, in our local machines, I get secure connections, however not for the outside world.

I will see how long Google will take out the supposed stain from my URL

Thank you so much.

Best regards

Good afternoon

I want to thank all who tried to help me with this issue.

I contacted Google via the form provided to me by Nicepage support.

It took about a week from the date I filled and submitted the form to remove a stain that google had put on my website, and it is now resolved.

Thank you all

Best regards

Carlos

Hello

Thank you for letting me know I was out of the country.

I contacted google and they advised me that there are one or more files on my site which is triggering the algorithm of Deceptive Page. I only have the files created by Nicepage in the site folder.

If is ok with you guys can I zip and send you all the files I have there so that you guys can inspect them?

Please let me know.

Thank you
Best regards,

Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Did you try comparing exported website (files, file sizes) with the one uploaded to the server?
I'm not really sure that we'll find anything on our side especially if this is a false-positive report. In this case, we can only guess. So, you reported an Incorrect Phishing Warning. What did they reply to you? Did you compare the script files exported from Nicepage with the same files on the server(size and number of lines at least)?
I also recommend that you temporarily remove the from the website, add a cookie popup, and report the incorrect warnings again.

There are aboute 5000 website hosted on this ip adres. It is blacklisted. Ask you hosting provider to solve this issue.
It is on the UCEPROTECTL3 blacklist. It is blacklisted by IP.

IP Address 74.208.236.161
Reverse IP 5156 websites use this address.

Not a nicepage problem, but a webhosting problem.

Hi Olivia,

What I did was the following:

  1. Ran an antivirus on my development Folder (No viruses or Malware found).
  2. Deleted all the files from my site on the server.
  3. Export my site again
  4. Google the first time I sent the report they replied to me and I am copying the reply they sent me.

Dear website owner.
We have successfully removed your website name from our list.

The second response was
Dear website owner.
We ask you to check your website for any malicious files that are alerting for false positives responses. If this is not properly done, the system will continue with the alert.

So, what I would do is to bring my old website back created using my old software tool and see if this problem gets fixed.
If it does then I will let you guys know.

Thank you,

Best regards,
Carlos

You can try, whatever you want, problem is, that you site has got a shared ip. You can look it up at https://whois.domaintools.com/canissoft.com

At https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist%3a74.208.236.161&run=toolpage
You can see it is blacklisted. at UCEPROTECTL3 (looks like email spam!)

Problem does not have to do anyting with your website, it can be anyone how has this shared IP, thats why your hosting company has to solve this problem.
You can easly test, by backup your site. Than only put a index.html file with some text... and you wil see, it wil still bee blocked.
Also with your old tool, same problem.

You can also move your site to another hosting company.

Good luck.

Hi Mr. Hman,

Thank you for your reply and such very informative information.

So what you are saying is that the problem resides with my hosting company?
That the Ip address being shared?

Because this is what I have been thinking all along.

And yes indeed I uploaded my old website and it is reporting the same.

Now, if I get another hosting company, then I would have to make another report to google and wait?

Please let me know.

Thank you

Hi,

Well if you take another hosting company, your problem is solved directly. You will recieve a different IPadres, this is solving the problem. You do not have to make any reports to google.

But.... this block issue, could also come from u. If you sends spam emails, even when you have no notice of it, this problem will olso effect the new ip. So make sure, you are not sending spam by email. Your Hosting provider will beable to see.

I had this once, and contacted my hosting provider and they solved it directly.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Nope, my company does not send any SPAM E-Mails, that is illegal and we do not do that.

We are in the process of changing hosting company.

Thank you

You see, it is working now!

But actived your SSL, Google will rate page lower if it has not got this SSL. And many browser will give a warning.

But for now, you main problem is solved.
