Hi Rolo,

Thanks for contacting us

Select your Block and use the Export/Import option. So you can export the blocks from WordPress and import to the Desktop app and to do the same backwards, from Desktop app to the WordPress.

  1. I have exported my page from nicepage desktop.

  2. Then from my wordpress I tried this from menu: Nicepage > Import (and selected my exported file)

But I get this error:
Error occured: (status 200)
Can't find content.json in zip archive

My exported zip file contains a file called 'page.json', instead of 'content.json'

See attached exported file.

Can you help me?

Thanks!

Hi Rolo,

There is no way to import a single page exported as a page. Please consider exporting the Pages and editor Plugin from your desktop application and then import them using the Nicepage >> Import dialog on your site, that will import the whole content of the exported project. So if you have only one page in your project, this is the solution for you.

OK, I will try a project export (only pages and editor)
Then I will do a wodpress>nicepage>import

What will happen with my current wordpress website after the import?
It will be all lost and overwriten by the import?
Or the import will add the new content to my current website? (this is what I need)

Thanks!

Hello Rolo,

When you use import function as wodpress>nicepage>import the current pages won't be overwritten, the import will add the new pages to the list of all pages. If the pages names are the same, the pages would be uploaded as Home(1) or (2) and so on.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hi,

Could you please disable the code optimizer plugin and clear all caches. Does the issue continue?

I'm confused.

Ahmad M. highlighted the export page option saying, "Export/Import option available for a separate pages also"

Then Hella said, "There is no way to import a single page exported as a page."

So can a single page be exported from Desktop and imported into a WordPress site or not? If not, what's the Export page function for? Is it just for transferring pages to a different site in Desktop? If so, it might be less confusing to call it something different.

Alan,

If for CMS, you can exchange only blocks. The export feature exports the whole project and content. If you need more info, please create a private case, and we will give you answers using your projects and CMS admin credentials.

I can see that I can publish just the Pages and plugin editor and then import all pages into a WordPress site - but it would be good to be able to create a single page in desktop then import it into a WordPress site.

However, using import/export page is different to saying that function exports the whole project and content.

This could just be a language issue but I think it could all be a lot clearer! Could you think about how you use the terms import, export, save, publish and how they are used for a CMS, etc in relation to the template, pages, project, etc? Consistency always helps users' understanding.
