Ask a Question

Hello. I've created a folder and a page within that folder. I need to link to that page, but I am not able to do so.

When I choose "add hyperlink", and then choose to "link to new page or link", my options include all of the pages I've created, though no folders are shown. If I choose the file that is within the Folder, it does not work.

These are NOT working links, but I want to show you what I mean:
https://notarealbiz.com/Sitetest/story-in-Articles-folder.html - This is what I get after exporting and uploading the site. However, this page does not work. I just get a "not found on server message". Although I chose to link to the page that is saved within the folder I created, the path nicepage creates is not correct.

If I go to the url and add in my folder name, the link will work:
https://notarealbiz.com/Sitetest/Articles/story-in-Articles-folder.html

How do I get this to work? I shouldn't have to manually adjust this. What am I doing wrong in Nicepage, or is this something that just won't work?

Oh, I understand that. But that means I have to manually input the link. If I am selecting the appropriate page from their dropdown in their Link To Settings dialogue, I would think it should correctly link it. The way it is working, it is not including the folder name.

Hi Nancy,

Please make sure that you are using the Relative pass option in the Export dialog. That should create the correct links and also place your pages in the correct folders.
I cannot reproduce the issue on my end.

Thank you for your reply. I don't seem to have that option in my export dialog. I'll attach a screenshot for reference. Is this because I am on an older version (3.24.1)? If so, is my only option to upgrade/renew if I am needing access to folder structures?

The Starter plan isn't really an option for me, and if I download the newest version that is available to me when I start up Nicepage, I imagine I will lose some of my work due to the starter plan's limitations.

Thank you.

Hello Nancy,

Thanks for your screenshot, you are right, in an updated version of the Nicepage, there will be an option in Export Dialogue available.

enter image description here

Please tell us what kind of work progress you think could be lost? You will be able to use all created previously elements and Blocks with restrictions to create a new one.
But we highly recommend to make backup every time any changes are made!

Thank you. I currently have the beginnings of 3 sites (two of them are just in demo stage, basically) but the primary problem I would have is that the starter plan is for 1 site, 5 pages. The primary site I am working on currently has more than 5 pages. I would think I would lose some pages.

Additional question: in the premium plans with 5 sites, 50 sites, etc... do those sites have page limits?

Hi Nancy,

Your current projects will be enabled (with Starter Plan limitations). You will have the ability to open and edit previously created projects with all pages.
For newly created projects, Starter Plan limits would be exceeded and you will not be able to create a new project before deleting your previous websites from Dashboard (please note that you could always export them as a Project to work with them in future)

For Premium plans, there are no limits on the number of pages.
