Ask a Question

Hi,

1) I used nicepage plugin to make some pages in a wordpress site. However, I found those pages that only modify by "Edit with Nicepage" .

any-way-to-edit-content-by-wp-admin-panel.JPG

Is it possible to make it becomes content and will be visible in the page editor inside WP admin panel like below ?

any-way-to-edit-nicepage-content-like-this.JPG

2) what happen if my PRO license expired? Is it that I can't to modify the existing pages which created by nicepage?

3) If I used nicepage desktop version to make a wp website for a client, the client want to make updates himself in wp admin panel, is it allow? or he need to buy nicepage and renewal the license every year?

Best regards,
Moon

Hi,

Is it possible to make it becomes content and will be visible in the page editor inside WP admin panel like below ?

Currently such option is not supported.
But we discuss various options for editing content or some parts of the content with and without Nicepage for end website owner. Which option would be more convenient for you and your customers? What page elements you want to change outside Nicepage?

If I used nicepage desktop version to make a wp website for a client, the client want to make updates himself in wp admin panel, is it allow? or he need to buy nicepage and renewal the license every year?

Currently your customer will need to purchase Nicepage subscription. See the answer above.

You will not be able to receive Nicepage updates. Nicepage subscriptions work similar to Themler subscriptions.

Thank you,
Olivia

I hope all elements (such as theme, sidebar, pages contents, posts, etc) created and exported by nicepage are like artiseer before, it becomes content and will be visible and tweak in the page editor inside WP admin panel without login nicepage.

I have a themler subscription but I not use it until expired. So I am not sure "Nicepage subscriptions work similar to Themler subscriptions." I would like to clarify belows:

1) when my nicepage subscription expires, I still be able to use nicepage, e.g. save, editing, export or download themes. I can not apply any updates, but I can use the application in my current version. is it right?

2) if a client want to make updates their websites that created by nicepage, they need to purchase Nicepage subscription or use my subscription to login, is it right?

Thanks,

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

You will still be able to edit, save and export themes and pages without updates.

if a client want to make updates their websites that created by nicepage, they need to purchase Nicepage subscription or use my subscription to login, is it right?

He will need to purchase subscription because Nicepage subscription are for personal usage.
But we still discussing this aspect of created pages and consider different variants of editing the content by the end user.

Thank you,
Olivia

This was very helpful,

I am a die hard fan of Artisteer, still use it to date. I have tried Nicepage and it is a fantastic tool better than both Artisteer and Themler. However my concerns were similar to Moon, I would love to use the tool but it limits my clients from editing their already created websites (wordpress/Joomla). It would have been better if the templates exported for these CMS are attached with a specific license but not forcing clients to pay again for subscription to update their own website.
I will be waiting for changes on this area.

For now great tool but I can't invest due to the above reasons

I agree with patrick6. Nicepage is a great tool but if my customers aren't able to easily do updates to their pages without having to get/use a license then it won't work for me.

Hi,

Just for such situations we have added the user licenses in some plans. Have a look to the Pro and Ultimate licenses:
https://nicepage.com/purchase

There is a row with the Additional Licenses option. So if you have Pro edition, you have 10 additional licenses for your clients. And with the Ultimate edition you have the unlimited number of additional licenses. How does it work? When you provide the site to your customer with the Nicepage plug-in, you can add the user's e-mail address into your license and then user should register on nicepage.com with that e-mail. After that, they will have the license to edit the content using Nicepage plug-in.

I agree with patrick6 and mefinkeand now i see, that I decided to buy the Nicepage license too quickly, and now I regret it.
I wasn't aware that editing pages is only possible in a plugin or desktop application. I was convinced that the philosophy of Nicepage would be the same as in the case of Artisteer - I have a new great tool where I will create a theme and manage the content from Wordpress. Only when designing the first page after buying the license I realized it. With such a model Nicepage is useless for me. I'm wondering if it's possible to bet moneyback and resign from the license?

Hi nablator,

As I have explained above, Nicepage has the options that will enable editing content for your customers. You should understand that Nicepage creates complicated layouts with a lot of features such as responsibility, customization for each responsive view and so on. And as a plug-in for content editing it produces the content in its format and it should not be editable in the default WP editor. So please let me know what is the exact problem about letting the site owner edit the content in Nicepage plug-in? That's the same as use any other WP content editor plug-in.

Is there any progress in this regard? I.e. the possibility of editing directly from the WP administration interface? The problem why I should switch from Themleruna Nicepage is precisely in its complexity of control. Not for me, as a developer, but for clients. You still assume that every client can start an editor and edit the website in it, my experience is that clients have a problem editing even ordinary content in the Wordpress administration. Therefore, it is necessary to offer them the most simple solution that Themler offers, but Nicepage lacks this. Most clients are not interested in adjusting colors, adding new elements to the font, etc. They just want to change the text and add images, that's all.

Hi,

Kindly specify which progress exactly do you mean? If you mean editing the content option for the clients, my colleague already have mentioned everything above.
Please read about the Additional client licenses for WordPress and Joomla

I'm afraid we still don't understand each other. I compare Themler and Nicepage. Themler is really created for developers to make it as easy as possible for clients to edit content and not burden them with design. 99% of my clients edit only the text part and add images, they are not interested in editing the design and sections. The client simply logs in to the website administration and can edit the content of the page with a simple click (see printscreen). No creating accounts, profiles, no front-editor....just text. I don't understand why I have to pay additional licenses for clients to edit their content when the essence of WordPress offers this automatically and so does Themler! In addition, if I decide to terminate the license, none of the previous clients will ever be able to edit the text (at least, that's how I understand it). I.e. I am constantly forced to renew my license. That doesn't seem fair to me. After all, the client should be able to automatically edit the text, these are the main conditions of client demand. But now I understand better why you ended the development of Themler - Nicepage is much more profitable for you from this point of view, webmasters simply have to buy a license all the time, even for their clients.

Hi,

As we have explained above, Nicepage creates complicated content and it cannot be edited by the default WP editor. Are you able to edit the content created in some other advanced content builder using the default WP editor? I think no. So we allow the users with the Pro and Ultimate editions to provide licenses to their clients to be able to edit the content created with Nicepage. Also we allow you to choose whether your client would be able to edit the text only or also the design of the page and add blocks, etc. To provide your customers access to the editor you do not always need them to register, you can just add a domain name of that site as a client license in your account and any person that is logged into the admin panel of that site would be able to use Nicepage plug-in to edit the content.
If you do not want to use Nicepage as the editor on the site just consider creating the content in WP default editors as you do not need a complicated content builder, just use Nicepage to create a theme for your site.
As for the license duration, yes, now we use the subscription model and you need to extend the subscription if you want to continue to use premium features. The subscription model is the one that is used widely nowadays and almost every software is now provided as a subscription-based.
