Are there not any basic templates that I can use and then modify or do I have to start from scratch to create a JOOMLA template.

Hi, Mike,

Sorry for the delay (due to the weekend).

Any of our pre-designed page templates are fully customizable and can be easily exported to Joomla. Select any template, find its ID, enter the ID in the search field in the Nicepage app, and edit it as you want.

Concerning module positions, there is only one default module position in Nicepage templates: the Menu position (hmenu). You can easily add new positions to Header, Footer, Blocks, and Templates (Blog Template, Post Template, etc.). These articles will be helpful for you:

Let us know if you need our further help!

Hello support,
I hope it's OK to follow this up without opening a new request/question.
I have been using Nicepage since it evolved from Artisteer and at that time, I was mainly using it to create changes to my joomla templates.
I have created a number of 'simple' HTML sites using Nicepage but still don't understand how I can create a blank joomla template, similar to an existing joomla template such as beez3 or protostar.
With the upcoming demise of joomla 3.x, I would like to create a similar template to beez3 which would be compatible with Joomla 4.
I have watched all of the videos but I'm still unsure EXACTLY what i have to do to create all of the 'default' positions from the old Joomla font-end and back-end template(s) (&I don't want to add the nicepage/joomla extension to my joomla site if I can help it).

Has anyone created such a 'blank' template?
Could there be a blank/basic template like

I don't think I am stupid and I hope that once I realise how it can be done, I will see how easy it is but at the moment, I am a bit lost so any help would be much appreciated.
thank you for your time.
regards
Robert C

Hi, Robert,

Unfortunately, Nicepage does not provide the default Joomla templates with Joomla positions. Nicepage generates only the menu position (hmenu). In order to insert new positions, you should add the Position and Widget Area Element to your Nicepage Project, and name them somehow. For more information, you can check the articles from my previous post. Also, this article can be helpful for you as well:
