Frontend Editing / Inline Editing

Ask a Question

I am currently using the free version of Nicepage to create a template for Joomla.

In Joomla there is the option in the Global Configurations for Frontend Editing (Joomla 4) and Inline Editing (Joomla 3). With which modules and menus can be edited via the frontend and mouseover. However, this does not seem to work with the positions created by Nicepage for modules and menus. Is there an option for this that I haven't found or is this basically not supported and also not inserted?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

The menu is the part of the theme, therefore it is edited via the Desktop Application and then installed to Joomla.

Yes that the style can only be edited with Nicepage is clear to me.

But with Frontend Editing (Joomla 4) and Inline Editing (Joomla 3) you can edit other themes by mouseover:

  • For menus, change the menu items without going to the backend.
  • For modules, change the title, content and so on without going into
    the backend.

So there is no workaround by changing certain php files? (if $canEdit). Or an official function is not planned and will never come?
