Ask a Question

I set up a google programmable search bar and verified that it works. However, I cannot think of the best way to integrate it into the website. In the web builder, I added an HTML element and then pasted the google search code into there. This got the search bar to show on the web page and format properly. However, where it failed was the actual searching! It didn't seem to display any results and the text within the search bar was also not showing when typing.

I then tried to create a search bar with the built-in tools and then edit the code after the fact to redirect to the google api search but I couldn't get that working either. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the search to work? I am hosting the site myself.

Thank you.

Hi, Brennon,

Sorry for the late response (due to the weekend).

In the web builder, I added an HTML element and then pasted the google search code into there. This got the search bar to show on the web page and format properly. However, where it failed was the actual searching!

Could you please give us the URL of your website so we could see your issue? Also, please attach your Project here, the topic is private now.

The Search Element in Nicepage works only on CMS websites (WordPress and Joomla). If you have a static HTML website, you have to use third-party services for implementing the search feature.
