Ask a Question

Hi, I need to add a Instagram to a new nicepage site project that is joomla based.
From other posts I have read that you suggest to use Joomla extensions to solve this.
But how do I implement the joomla extension to the Nicepage page?

Hi Micke,
Thank you for being our customer!

Some plugins allow you to add their code to the page you want to add the Instagram feed on, for example, this extension: https://elfsight.com/tutorials/how-to-add-instagram-feed-module-to-joomla/

Or, you can log into your Instagram account, copy the post's code and add it to the Nicepage HTML element from Element >> HTML.

Ok I see but if I want to have a constant automatic flow of all my instagram posts in the flow, then I need to add the url for my posts or do you mean post's code is the same as that all my posts will be shown chronologically?

Hi Micke,

If you want to add the code and not use a plugin, try these instructions:

  1. Log in to your Instagram account using any web browser, not the app;
  2. Go to your profile and select the post you want to embed;
  3. Click on the three dots on the upper right corner of the post;
  4. Select the Embed option from the drop-down menu;
  5. Copy the embed code;
  6. Paste the code in the HTML element.

Ok, but if I only want all my posts on Instagram to automatically be displayed in chronological order is that also possible without any plugin?

Hi Micke,

You can search for info and tutorials on Google about that possibility. However, I think you can add a 3 column Grid to a Nicepage page >> add HTML element to each column >> copy your post code and paste it in the HTML element in column 1 >> repeat for other columns.

You have to go to the template settings and then select the Nicepage template. After changing the settings and then you have to go to the menu manager in the backoffice and click on the layout tab and then you have to click on the drag and drop button and then select the Nicepage template. This will load the Nicepage template settings and then you have to edit the settings and make the changes in the template settings.
