Ask a Question

I have tried every bit of info I have found to get Contact Form 7 to work in a Wordpress site. However, no matter what I do... messages do not send. I get an error everytime. How do I actually insert the shortcode for the NicePage form in to the page? Does it go in the button settings? HELP! I am losing my mind. The docs on NicePage do not give enough information. Am I supposed to delete the form from the page and insert Contact Form 7's shortcode instead?

Do I need additional plugins to make it work? Are there SMTP settings I need to make?

Hello David,

  1. Yes, your server where your Wordpress site is hosted on should be correctly configured to send/receive emails.
If your hosting provider does not support wp_mail() and the standard PHP mail() function, you will need to use SMTP to send emails using WordPress.
Please refer to the articles - Contact Form 7 - https://contactform7.com/setting-up-mail/
    SMTP settings - https://blog.cf7skins.com/using-smtp-to-send-emails-in-contact-form-7/

  2. The shortcode for CF7 can be added to any other Wordpress page, and can be added to Nicepage Page as Element - Position and Shortcode - Shortcode.
You can/should test your CF7 shortcode on Wordpress page first to make sure you have set it all correctly.

  3. To integrate CF7 on Nicepage page you need to activate Contact Form 7 plugin, test it to work properly, add a Contact form as an Element in the Nicepage Page, choose the Submit function as Contact Form 7, and fill in the fields name to be the same as in your CF7 plugin, check the form with a published page.

Let us know if you need any additional help.
