Hi
I can't update my joomla, because i have a old version of Nicepage content editor - administrator Nicepage menu and Site 1 ?, which I was not aware of. I always update all new release.
Do you have any idea to solve this problem ?

kind regards
Søren

Hello Mia,

You can update Nicepage Extention to 3.23.2 first then update your Joomla.
Although we recommend not to update Joomla to the most recent Joomla 4 version on the production websites until we release the complete support for Joomla! 4 versions.
The approximate date for the Nicepage version (beta) with the support for Joomla! 4 is the end of September.
Unfortunately, we failed to implement the Joomla! 4 compatibility by the time of Joomla! 4 release due to the constant code changes performed by the Joomla developers till the final release.
In any case, we are doing our best to provide you with the Joomla! 4 support as soon as possible. Please follow the news.

Thank you.

Hi anna
My problem is, that I already has Nicepage 3.23.2 installed. How do I update these few items to update them from 1.0.0 to 3.23.2 ?
And why has these items not already been updated all the other times I have updated Nicepage.
Can i in some way, do it manually ?

Kind regards
Søren

Hello Mia,

Yes, we can confirm that you had installed the latest update of Nicepage Extention 3.23.2 in your Joomla.
The only component from Nicepage Extention is required to be updated, and you have already updated it with your Joomla.

Hi Anna
Thanks for your reply.

As you can see from my original question (se picture - updating joombla.jpg), the problem is that I'm not allowed to update joombla, because of these old versions (1.0.0).

Would it be an idea that disable these 5 item - and update joombla - and then enable these items again ? - Or do you have a site where I can download new updated versions of the mentioned items.

Looking forward to hear from you.
Kind regards
Søren

Hi, Anna,

I have the same issue here.
I found the zip file with the new version on: https://nicepage.com/downloads/joomla_nicepage_plugin-3.23.2.zip
But the version of the Content Editor plugins and the Administrator Nicepage Menu stay on version 1.0.0.
Even if I deinstall and install again.
If there is a version availble on your downloads directory, please let us know and we will inform you if this solves the problem.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards
Marco

Hello Mia,

Version 1.0 is our internal version of the Nicepage Extention components and you can change the version if you want, only for the Theme - Site Settings, BUT the update tool you are using shouldn't even ask/ or there shouldn't be any conflicts.

You can delete the extension before the update to Joomla 3.10 and after installing it once again. Do not forget to make backup copies for your files.

Hi Marco
Thank's a million for this video.

I do have one or two questions for you.

  1. What is your oppinion, if I only disable the 5 linie involved, update to 3.1 (if possible), and then enable these again after upload ?

I'm sure, that the last item (line 5), is remainings from start of my using of Nicepage 1,5 years ago, when I used the Desktop version. Created way too many problems then. I have since then, only been using the WEB version.

  1. In the video, he recomented to watch his video around make a copy of your web site, and make the update at this to see if it works. Is this an idea ? I haven't seen the video yet, but I will do later today.

I know from my host, that they make backups every day og my page, so this sould work if something went wrong.

Kind regards
Søren

Hi Anna
As you can see from the attach picture I don't have the "Theme" items on site setting's. So I can't alter this. What to do ?

Concerning delete the 5 linies. After deleting the files, shall I then update the intire version. 3.23.2 (the zip file) or only the 5 single files ?

Kind regards
Søren

Hello Mia,

Theme Settings are available in the desktop application only.
You can disable the Template if it is not the default one and try the update after. Anyway, make your site backup, disable the Nicepage Extention the whole package and continue the update. You will be able to upload the whole package zip file of the Extention after the Joomla update.
