Ask a Question

Hi,

I installed the Nicepage plugin for wordpress by opening the wordpress site in browser and it works fine.

I downloaded the wordpress.com free macOS app just like Nicepage macOS app and imported my wordpress live site in it. The site got imported fine, but the Nicepage plugin does not get imported properly. The plugin does show in the list of plugins as installed, but it does not work at all. I also tried installing the element or plugin in the same macOS app and it for installed absolutely fine.

Please help.

Hi,

I understand that the plugin doesn't work with the wordpress.com macOS app, but it works online in the browser.

But this is a feature request for the company to make such a powerful plugin work with the wordpress.com local macOS app also. We can then easily edit the wordpress pages locally dnd then just publish them straight form the macOS app. No need to work in the browser.

Hi Ujjwal,

I have no idea what is the application on your screenshot.

Please follow our documentation to check how to work with Nicepage and WP:
https://nicepage.com/doc/c/wordpress

You need to create a WP site on your hosting using the WP package from wordpress.org.
Then you can design the theme and content in Nicepage desktop application or install Nicepage plug-in on the site and edit the content of the site using the plug-in. There are no other ways to work with WP and Nicepage.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I have the "Coming Soon" page live on my hosting mad with Nicepage Plugin for Wordpress. I want to export a backup as local copy of this site on my Mac. How to do so, as I can't seem to find the Export option in the Nicepage plugin as there is one in the Nicepage app for macOS.

Okay, then can you please help me understand how to take the backup of the Wordpress site on local Mac..

So you mean that it is always better to make the site in Nicepage Desktop and then export/import it to server. That ways we will always have the latest copy of Wordpress site, just in case anything happens on the server..

Hello Ujjwal,

Do you mean to do a backup of the WordPress site you've been working on in Nicepage?

So you mean that it is always better to make the site in Nicepage Desktop and then export/import it to server. That ways we will always have the latest copy of Wordpress site, just in case anything happens on the server..

Correct. It's better to have an updated copy of your site on your local machine. Also, you can export individual blocks from WordPress (screenshot 1) and import them into Nicepage (screenshot 2):

This way, you won't have to manually copy each element\text.

Hi, Sorry I am going to sound really unpleasant now..

One You guys reply after hours and hours. One feels like an idiot posting a.question in the forum waiting for your reply

Two your replies don't make any sense. You want me to export every single block individually from the live site to local machine. What sense does it make. Your app / plugin should have the capability of exporting the site for offline backup just like the desktop app has the ability to export.

If for some technical reason the plugin cannot do it, then please give sensible explanation to your customers. Don't just say a one liner ( Unfortunately, Nicepage plugin doesn't support the export option ) and get rid of the question.

What a disaster your support system is as compared to the app which is worth being praised.

The app is worth every single penny spent on it. I have tested and tried so many tools, but Nicepage is the best tool I have experienced that gives you the ability to design and craft the webpages as you desire giving you the flexibility of adding your own code keeping the technical aspects away from the user. But when it comes to your support system, it is the worst and most pathetic I have experienced. The company seriously needs to invest in it's support system and improvise it.

Take this as a serious feedback !!

Thanks

Hello Ujjwal,

We understand your frustration, but we replied to you about the unavailability of the export option from CMS to the desktop app, and I offered you an option to use in the meantime. Our developers are constantly working on the usability and performance of Nicepage. Kindly stay tuned for new releases.

Ujjwal,

One You guys reply after hours and hours. One feels like an idiot posting a.question in the forum waiting for your reply

Usually, we reply in 1-2 business days. Each one of our support team may reply at different times.

In the desktop app, you can create a theme (header, footer, templates) that you can export to your CMS, after which you can add and edit the content (photos, texts, elements, etc) in the CMS Nicepage plugin itself, thus why the export from CMS isn't looked into yet.
When exporting a theme, make sure you choose the correct options in the export dialog:
