Ask a Question

Hi

I am using your desktop (windows) app to create a website on Hostinger hosting.

After creating my first few pages - i tested them locally on my drive - all worked correctly.
I FTP'd the whole directory to domain - and again - worked the same as on local drive.

But, after a couple of updates and uploads (always of the entire project directory ensuring to first delete the directory from the domain) - I got all the styles showing WRONGLY on my site. while locally they continue to look correct - even though the local and the hosting directories are identicals.

Can you help?

Hello Koby,

Please specify did your site looked the same as in the preview before updates and uploads as you have said?
Please send the screenshot of your site look localy and online. If you have a link to our site it would be better to check it too.

Hello Koby,

Please specify what differences are there, as for me they both (the home page from the link/homepage with local preview) look the same.

The link was checked with Chrome and Edge.

Hi Anna

you seem to be right - i have now checked on other browsers and it shows correctly

BUT

on my Chrome laptop browser it doesn't - the same browser i use for the local viewing

see a screen capture attached

so, what could be the reason i cannot see the styles correctly ONLY when browsing the same HTML from my hosting server and not from my local?

Hello Koby,

In this case, the problem is not with a browser but with screen resolution.
Please try to edit the desktop mode, then edit the laptop, and so on going to the smallest one.

What is the laptop you are using where the site shows not correctly?

Hi

you are right. It seems like that when i PREVIEW on my laptop the preview is showing me (with Chrome) the DESKTOP version
but when i browse through a website i guess the site identify my screen as laptop (correctly) and present me the laptop version (which i didn't touch yet).
