Ask a Question

Hi there,

we had the following issue ... we saved a page that we edited and then it displayed a white page and Status ERROR_BREAKPOINT. After this, the page was not visible in Joomla and was not listed anymore in the regular Joomla articles listing. When I searched, I was able to recover the page in the Archive section of Joomla, but it was not the one that we saved ... it was an older version.

Since I am a Joomla PHP Developer myself, my guess is that Nicepage saves a backup copy in the archives, which is wyh we were able to recover the older version. However, when the current edits were saved an error occured and it might be that there was an infinite Loop where the programmer left a way to exit this. However since the current page did not get saved, it did not appear in the Joomla articles listing and simply was gone. Any ideas? Are you aware of this bug? We had this occour several times over the past few days.

Sincerely,

Michael

Hi, Michael,

Thanks for using Nicepage! Clarify please, did this error happen while editing a page in the Nicepage plugin or while viewing your page? Have you checked the logs of Joomla? If you don't know where to find it, open the folder of your hosting, find the Joomla folder, and then open the administrator/logs folder. Usually, logs are located there. The information from logs could be very useful for us.

I edited the pages in Joomla with the editor (so I am assuming the Nicepage plugin). After saving the page, we got the error and all the last edits were gone. We were only able to recover the last version that was stored in Joomla (which is in itself strange, because we save regularly, but it seems all those commits were not stored permanently and we only had access to a version that was much older).

There was no information in the logs, so I have nothing to attach.

Since I had this error happen now to me twice I am planning on exporting the theme from Joomla. Is there a way to export from Joomla and open it up in Nicepage Desktop app?

Michael,

Try doing the same actions on another browser like FireFox. Does the issue continue? Also, we recommend you upgrade your browser to the latest version and turn off browser extensions for testing. After doing these actions, let us know about the results.
It is possible to import in the Nicepage App only those Projects that were previously made in the application.
